The Feast

By Rocky Steen-Rolfzen & Jeff Rolfzen

Whoa hold steady old stranger listen to the wind we’ve found

I’ve been counting on a card to take me down

So why why why so steady on the rise?

Do you see through eagle’s eyes?

There are burned bridges on this timber land that ground me down

I’ve been calling on the moon to turn me around

So why why why so heavy on the rise?

Let me sing or let me die

Now everybody knows it’s the end oh

Not everybody sinks in the water, no

And nobody believes in eternity

TIll we turn to the hills in the summer

Oh those nights were clear and bright so sound and still

Before the misty morning fog would blow over those hills

So whoa whoa whoa hold steady on the blow

Keep your eyes on the arrow

Now everybody knows it’s the end oh

Not everybody sinks in the water, no

And nobody believes in eternity

TIll we turn to the hills in the summer

Whoa hold steady old stranger listen to the wind we’ve found

When you hold up the broken cup, I’ll swing down

I’ll swing down

And I’ll swing down

Why so steady on the rise

Did you see through the eagle’s eyes?

When we mended in the lion’s den

Before we cast it out again

Whoa whoa steady on the blow

You watched me feast in the full moon’s glow

Before I turned my sunken face from thee

Everybody knew ohhh~
When we turned to the hills in the summer
