One More

By Rocky Steen-Rolfzen & Jeff Rolfzen

Bottle and glass are empty thinkin’ bout heading for the door

And on my way the band starts to play and the pretty girls head to the floor

A brown eyed belle grabs my hand, asks me to go for a twirl

I say OK I suppose I’ll stay but I’m only gonna stay for one more

One more  (Oh no!)

One more  (Oh no!)

Only gonna have one more  (Shouldn’t do it!)

Don’t care much to lollygag only gonna have one more

So I take a little shot of whiskey thinking it’ll do me just fine

The band picks up in double time and I try to find that gal of mine

She waves me over to the cocktail bar I’m starting to see a couple stars

She says “I still wanna dance with you, but first you wanna have one more?”
And I say…

One more  (Oh no!)

One more  (Oh no!)

Only gonna have one more  (Shouldn’t do it!)

Don’t care much to lollygag only gonna have one more

My feet are flapping and flopping, she’s spinning like Van Gogh’s art

At the end of the day I’m glad I stayed even though I’m kind of falling apart

The band picks up their last song and we try to sing along

The realize the song has no words so we laugh our way back to the bar

And we’re singing…

One more  (Oh no!)

One more  (Oh no!)

Only gonna have one more  (Shouldn’t do it!)

Don’t care much to lollygag only gonna have one more

One more  (Oh no!)

One more  (Oh no!)

Only gonna have one more  (Shouldn’t do it!)

Don’t care much to lollygag only gonna have one more

Don’t care much to lollygag only gonna have one more
